Mr Patel

Mr Kalpesh S Patel is a Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat Surgeon based primarily at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, which is now part of Imperial College Hospital NHS Trust. Mr Patel is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in ENT surgery at Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, London.

Mr Patel grew up in Highbury, North London, and attended Highbury Grove School. Having an early ambition to study medicine, he gained a place at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in London and qualified in 1984. Mr Patel began his surgical career teaching medical students, anatomy and physiology as a Lecturer at the University of St Andrew's in Scotland.

Following junior training posts in General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery, Mr Patel entered higher surgical training in all aspects of Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery, initially at King's College Hospital and subsequently the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and St Mary'sHospital, London. Mr Patel was appointed Consultant in ENT Surgery in 1995 at St Mary's and Ealing Hospitals, London.

Although Mr Patel is a General ENT Surgeon, he has a particular interest in the following ENT conditions and operations: endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinoplasty (functional and cosmetic), nasal allergy, management of tumours involving the head and neck region, salivary and thyroid gland disease, hoarseness, swallowing disorders and childhood ENT infections.
